AIMAR: She should never have been invited. I regret it. I regret it so much, taking that letter to be sent to her.

NAEVYS: It’s not your fault, Aimar. She can return to the Angel Realms right as she wakes up if she wishes. There is not much the Faery Realms can do unless Grandmother has some healing potions made up.

RUVEN: I don’t suppose she does. She hasn’t made anything in a long time and that doesn’t fix the fact she still got hurt and shouldn’t have come back here!

(Ashryn bursts into the room)

AIMAR: Do you think she’ll come?

ASHRYN: Maybe…

RUVEN: I really hope she does, I want her to attend our wedding! She’s a close friend and a good one at that. Plus, we can explain to her that we mean her no harm and can help her to investigate.

AIMAR: I think she just needs time, honestly.

NAEVYS: If you’re suggesting we postpone our wedding so that she can attend when she’s ready then that’s not happening.

AIMAR: That’s not what I’m suggesting at all, that would be unnecessary.

NAEVYS: Well then, good. I’m off to see my bridesmaids now anyway. See you!

(Naevys leaves the house and stops, seeing a surprising guest walk up the garden path.)

OPAL: Fauna! Finally, you’re home! The dinner is only just going on the plates. Call your sisters and have a seat.

(Castor (Fauna’s younger brother: Aged 19) walks in, looking at Fauna with a smirk on his face)

FAUNA: (turning to Castor) What’s with your face?

CASTOR: Excuse me?

FATHER: Hello? (He looks up from looking through papers on the floor as Fauna and Leofric walk in)

FAUNA: I walk through the double doors. The handle pure gold, or gold plated. I’m not sure which. The door itself is a beautiful baby blue colour, detailed with little patterns making the whole thing look posh, rather fitting to the surroundings of the hallway.

Behind the door a large office reveals itself. The walls are panelled white and burgundy, bookshelves line the walls and a beautiful polygon shaped; white marble fountain stands in the front centre of the room. Lion’s heads spit water out at a steady flow, trickling in the silence of the Angel Foundation building. A great big desk, piled with books sits at the far end of the room, behind it two sun flower wall decorations and a brightly coloured and gorgeously painted faery painting accent the panelled walls.

I slowly walk across the tiled floor, the same pink and white tiles that floor the hallways outside.

And down on his knees, on the floor, is my dad. Continue reading

LEOFRIC: Your father? You never want to see him!

FAUNA: It’s urgent. It’s…. It’s really important.

LEOFRIC: Tell me, then. You can trust me and I want to know before we go possibly causing trouble and being bothersome to Angels who don’t need to be bothered by us.

(Aimar walks into the kitchen/dining room to find Ashryn sipping on juice. She appears to be reading a letter.)

ASHRYN: This letter, Aimar. It’s from Fauna.

(Aimar takes a seat as Ashryn slips the note to Aimar)

To my wonderful friends,

I cannot thank you enough for taking me into your home with open arms and taking care of me. I was shaken by the idea of sleeping in a room next door to a woman who could have killed my mother. I do not want to believe it is true but until further notice, I do not feel I can fully trust who you say you are.
